Rosewood Hoian will be the last hotel to be presented at the resort with a foreigner-only casino under the current development plan.
A 330-room luxury property called the New World Hoiana Beach Resort opened at the Hoiana complex in late April, according to corporate information. A spokesperson for Hoiana noted in an email to GGRAsia that the total number of room keys at the time of development was "more than 1,200."
Shinsegae and Rosewood are the accommodation brands of the Hong Kong-based Rosewood Hotel Group, which are managed by the Cheng family, respectively. The family also establishes and operates Hong Kong-based Chow Tai Fook Jewelry Group Ltd and New World Development Co Ltd. The latter is a Hong Kong-listed conglomerate with a focus on real estate development, infrastructure, and services.
The Cheung family was previously related to the start of the Hoiana project.
Another hotel brand from Rosewood Hotel Group, KHOS, has been designated for the Hoiana complex.
In the "initial plan," KHOS Hoiana was one of the properties of "Hoiana Resort & Golf," but New World Hoiana Beach Resort took over, a spokesperson said. The reason for the change was not clear.
The Hoiana complex currently has three different accommodation options: Hoiana Hotel & Suites, Hoiana Residence, and New World Hoiana Hotel.
